what is dermatology Like at vera?
Our dermatologist, Dr Lena von Schuckmann, is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology. She is qualified and experienced across a broad range of medical and surgical dermatologic treatments in children and adults, now offered at Vera through her service, Samford Dermatology.
Whilst Vera specialises in women’s health, our dermatology service is available to males and females of all ages.
Lena provides compassionate care and will work closely with you to personalise your treatment. She collaborates with the other health practitioners at Vera to offer wholistic care.
Consultations are offered in-person as your dermatologist will need to examine your skin closely. A standard new appointment will last approximately 20 minutes. If you would like to book a longer appointment and/or have multiple issues to discuss, please notify us at the time of booking as we can offer longer appointments on request.
A referral from your General Practitioner or Specialist will be required prior to your first appointment.

Pricing for dermatology appointments differ according to various factors, including conditions and length of appointment.
A referral from your GP is required to claim a Medicare rebate.

Our dermatology service is available for adults and children with all dermatological conditions including —
Dr Lena von Schuckmann offers comprehensive skin examinations (skin checks) and treatment of skin cancer. Lena is experienced in surgical procedures including skin cancer surgery, removal of benign skin lesions, steroid skin injections and botox injections for excessive sweating.
We also offer paediatric dermatology consultations.
