Preveena is a warm and compassionate practitioner and enjoys seeing a broad range of general practice presentations. She is passionate about supporting her patients using evidence-based integrative medicine.

Preveena loves to practice medicine in a way that encompasses looking at the whole person and working towards the root cause of disease. She offers individualised health care that includes choosing the appropriate tests needed, fine-tuning the body’s nutritional needs to optimise healing, trusting the body’s wisdom and she believes in a shared decision-making process. 

 

Dr Preveena graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2008 with MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) and was admitted into the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2013.

Preveena undertook further studies in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) in 2015 and has recently done Biobalance training which works on balancing biochemistry associated with mental health symptoms. 

 
 

Dr Preveena’s professional life has taken her across multiple states in Australia. She has worked in remote communities in the Northern Territories as part of her GP training and in various GP practices in Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane over the last 12 years. She has gained valuable experience in different fields including women’s health, antenatal health, paediatrics, sexual health, integrative medicine, mind-body medicine, gut health and mental health. 

 

On a personal note, she is passionate about raising her two spirited boys and growing both personally and spiritually. She enjoys yoga, music and dance.
